Angels from Tennessee

Last night we were visited by six angels from Tennessee. They traveled all that way, it seemed to me, to bring their humble and sweet Spirit into our home and to bless us.

Usually when people come to visit they come to be uplifted and taught. I love teaching, and was looking forward to our visit. The role of teacher and student was quietly switched last night, and I was the student and the one being blessed. It was such a delightful evening, we felt uplifted and filled, and healed by the time they left.

We sat for a long time after they left and spoke of what a delight their visit had been.

I don’t know how to describe what happened exactly. We spoke of many doctrinal matters, and rejoiced in each of our blessings. What charmed me initially was their collective love for the Lord, and their delight in the blessings at His hand. The were well-taught by the Spirit, and their doctrinal understanding and insight into the scriptures was refreshing. They opened my mind to many sweet nuances of truth they had acquired by their faith. They were so excited by the gospel and the blessing of Jesus in their lives, that they began finishing each other’s sentences and saying the same thing at the same time. It was as if the voice of revelation and joy could not be restrained to just one person’s joy.

Terri said after they were gone, “I expect that if Heavenly Father had called six messangers and told them to go down and visit John and Terri, lift them up, comfort them, heal them and leave a blessing on their heads, that those angels could have done no greater job that the six visitors from Tennessee.”

She was exactly right.

Praise the Lord, and thank you my angels from Tennessee,

Brother John
