Prayer Request

Dear Unblog Family,

A member of our group sent me this prayer request this morning for his son on a mission. Please pray for him as the Spirit directs you.

While I was recently in the hospital I felt the power of your prayers, and was very grateful. It is a powerful thing when people of faith join their hearts in a single, righteous cause. The God of Heaven listens, and He answers in blessings upon our heads.

Here is the prayer request:

My son is on his mission in Japan right now and he has Crohn’s disease. He’s had some pain and has visited a doctor recently and id going back for a follow up. We’re afraid he may be having another flare-up. We and his extended family are holding a fast for him today and I’d like to ask the unblog family to pray for him as well (no one needs to feel obligated to fast, but we would appreciate prayers).

Thanks,

Steve

Aloe vera cures ulcers, IBS, Crohn’s disease and Celiac disease
Polysaccharides in the aloe vera plant have curative effects on numerous digestive disorders. The Internet is a storehouse of information and testimonials about aloe vera curing IBS, ulcers, Crohn’s disease and other disorders of the digestive tract. This is one of the best-known applications of aloe vera gel.
Taking aloe certainly isn’t a magic bullet cure, of course. It won’t reverse your disease after drinking one glass of aloe vera gel. It needs to be used regularly. Most people report positive results in 3 – 30 days, depending on the condition.

Brother Steve, I hope your son is getting better and finding the answers that he needs.

    Sincerely Daniel 🙂

Please continue praying. He’s not out of the woods yet. We had our Mother’s Day call with him early (because of the problems). He’s getting a scope done on Sunday and we’ll see where that takes him, but he is positive and in good spirits.

Recently my daughter was married in the Temple to a young man with Crohne’s disease. He was unable to serve a mission because of the life-threatening bouts he had around mission time. He had decided never to marry because he did not want to pass on the disease to his children, until, he met my daughter. Her reply to him was (sarcastically) “well maybe your parents should never have been married and maybe you should have never been born?! And maybe God does not know what he is doing and he could not possibly send down children to you who have been raised in the courts of glory by parents who are God’s and Queen’s and whose children will be given special gifts to be magnificent in their life missions on the earth that they are fore ordained to fulfill despite the Crohne’s?”!!!!

Needless to say, in the face of such faith, he married her and the trials both of them have been through already in their young lives has forged them into lives of great meaning and capacity to be tools in the Lord’s hands on this earth.

I appreciate all the wonderful comments your readers have listed to assist in the treatment of Crohne’s and I will pass them on to my daughter, who incidentally, is pursuing a nursing degree and understands his condition intimately because of her studies and thus will be a great blessing to him in his life. So, was their meeting an accident? I think not.

It is important that we all understand that these trials are God-given for the purification of the person and their family and friends. Trials are gifts, though heart breaking when viewed only through the natural-man mind, are great blessings that bring all of us to our knees and back to God and that is their purpose.

Even if, after all the prayers uttered (and I have added my prayers for this young man) and fasting, were the young man to be sent home, he will need to be taught that it IS “part of his fore-ordained mission” nonetheless, and it could be a hard test to his family and himself not to lose faith, as I have seen many a young man fall away at this point because he becomes disheartened and thinks God does not love him or he would have left him in the mission field. But rather, it is the calling of the parents to pray and seek guidance and thank the Lord for the challenge and to bring themselves and their child back to a Spiritual core, no matter what, (see the story of Nephi) and remember that the Lord does not play nasty tricks on his beloved children because His love is perfect even though we may misconstrue the miserable trial’s meaning.

Many a time I have prayed for a wayward or ill child and asked the Lord why did it have to happen and the stinging reply came “it was their mission and gift to keep me on my knees and closer to God.” I have never been so humbled in all my life. Illness, like waywardness can be a gift if all will seek knowledge from the Holy Ghost at to the purpose.

I am keeping him in my prayers but also want you to know that there are natural medicines that can contribute to his greater health and relief. The Lord has provided natural means to help us with our health issues. doTerra Essential oils and Lifelong Vitality pack can greatly help anyone with Crohns Disease.
