  1. I don’t know if this has already been answered but why…. Oh why would Deseret Book not carry this book and Seagull book not allowed to put this book on its shelf? This book changed my life. The Spirit told me of its true experience. Why would the church Book Stores keep it off the shelf? It only strengthened my testimony more. It made me sad to discover this.

      Dear Tahitian Flower,

Thank you for your kind comment! It is so wonderful that you have found much worth in “Visions of Glory.” Like you, thousands of others have also been blessed, inspired and uplifted by this true account.

The Church seems to be very careful to recommend only those books that keep within the typical ecclesiastical doctrine. This book, and probably other near death experience books, are not considered Church doctrine. We do not see this as a problem, as the book is readily available elsewhere.

Thank you for your feedback, and God bless you!

would it be possible to make “We Three Kings” available again? I had a copy and my hard disk crashed, One of my favorite stories.

    • Brian, “We Three Kings” will soon be out as a formally-published work. John’s publisher really wanted to publish another fictional book of John’s, so I gave them permission to use this one (which he wrote in 2004 as a Christmas gift for the kids). As you probably remember, it is a fun and yet beautiful read, with an intriguing premise about the three kings who visited the Christ child.

All this is to say that this book is not available now until it comes out in late September. I will get you a date as soon as I know it. I am confident that you and many others will find it a wonderful and uplifting story. Thanks for asking!
