Spencer’s Journey

Dear UnBlog Family,

I wanted to let you know that I just signed the contract with Cedar Fort to publish “Spencer’s Journey”. It will be coming out before December 1, 2012. All of my other books took about two years from when I started writing it to seeing it in print.  “Spencer’s Journey” will be about one year, so it is moving forward quickly. The publisher is excited to have the book and to get it out before Christmas. It may not be in bookstores by then, but it will be available online. I’ll keep you posted.

On a similar note, Spencer thanks you all for your prayers. He is still not well and is going in for tests today. I invite you to keep the prayers flowing in his behalf. Spencer has agreed to speak at the upcoming UnBlog Family Reunion, which is one of the things he told me initially that he didn’t want to do, so I believe we will be very blessed to hear him. I also received word from Kenneth Cope that he would be pleased to give us a mini-concert as well. The only thing I’m not sure of yet is the venue. I will publish the time and place the very moment we get it nailed down.

Love and Blessings to you,

Brother John

  1. Not sure where the best place to post this so please fill free to move it where it should go. I was looking at news articles and saw the big hole which opened in Siberia. The Visions of Glory book reference popped in my head about the lost tribe hiding in the large caverns in the north covered with Ice. I just thought this was very interesting and wanted to post it for others. Here is one of the links:

    • Jeannette, we are working to put together a large conference for all UnBlog readers in late August. I’m just calling it a Unblog Family Reunion because you all feel like family. We are still looking for a venue, but may know more on Monday. I’m expecting about 500 people, so it requres a larger building. I will let everyone know the date, place and time as soon as we nail it down.

    Bro. John,

A while back a few of us volunteered to help proof/edit the first drafts. Is this help still needed? I just finished “cleaning up” a series of ten books and should be able to find the time now.

We have not been told where or when the unblog reunion is going to be. For those who cannot attend, it would be a good thing if it was recorded as a fireside, like has already been insinuated. I would hate to miss it. I am also very excited about the new book coming out in December.

Just wanted to personally thank the unblog family and community for their prayers and fasting. For so very long when I have heard the words something is wrong with your health, I have expected the worse to happen. Far too often the worst did happen however it was usually accompanied with months of illness, pain, and new experience. It always brought new learning and broke through old beliefs and there was always an increase of faith that had to be mustered to get us through yet another difficulty. Today I was looking to be placed in the hospital once again, (a place i really don’t like to be) to undergo yet another procedure. Thanks to this family and to the Lord in his great mercy I am at home writing to you instead of being confined in a hospital bed. The words of the doctor seemed to be as much of a surprise to him as they were to me. “What ever was wrong with you on Friday is not wrong with you today. Your heart seems to be healthier today than it has been previously with the same tests.”Thanks be to God for His mercy, love and capacity to heal, change things and make us whole. I praise him forever and thank him for his loving kindness. Spencer

Such wonderful news! Looking forward to receiving these words into my life.

During next month’s family reunion, do you think you’ll be able to record the proceedings and share them with the unblog family that can’t attend?

    Many thanks.
