UnBlog Reunion Recordings

Many of you ask each day when the recordings of the UnBlog Reunion might be available.

I just learned two days ago that the recordings are finished, and ready for me. I still haven’t received them, but it should only be a few days now. I’m very grateful they turned out good. I was beginning to worry that the delay might be because the recordings were damaged or bad. When I receive them I will need to break them into smaller files and condense them so they will work on the Internet. That will take a few days, but I will get right on it.

I’m sorry it has taken so long,

Brother John

May I say that the feeling of sacredness came through the recording so well. To hear the testimonies borne, the sweetness of the shared experiences, the explanation of how Spencer received his knowledge, all of these things touched me profoundly. I have been on a spiritual high since since February when I decided to read the Book of Mormon every day. Recently I covenanted to read it every day for the rest of my life. I do not know how to explain what has happened to my heart that was soft before but I feel different. So now what I hear and read and experience is filtered and I cannot partake of many things that were part of every day living before. What was shared by Spencer, you John, and the other speakers enlightened me. That is all I can say. Filled me with more light. Thank you for this spiritual feast, for it is delicious to the taste.

    • “Spiritually Delicious” is a term I learned from Spencer, and it is sometimes the best way to describe wonderful spiritual experiences, like the UnBlog reunion and other precioius times.

      Thank you,

Lehi’s Vision was what got me thinking about the taste of the fruit and feasting before I heard Spencer. But his phasing and use is absolutely right and it is how I think of spiritual learning now. Here are the verses that I was thinking of:

        • 1 Nephi 8:11
11 And it came to pass that I did go forth and partake of the fruit thereof; and I beheld that it was most sweet, above all that I ever before tasted. Yea, and I beheld that the fruit thereof was white, to exceed all the whiteness that I had ever seen.

        • Alma 32:28
28 Now, we will compare the word unto a seed. Now, if ye give place, that a seed may be planted in your heart, behold, if it be a true seed, or a good seed, if ye do not cast it out by your unbelief, that ye will resist the Spirit of the Lord, behold, it will begin to swell within your breasts; and when you feel these swelling motions, ye will begin to say within yourselves—It must needs be that this is a good seed, or that the word is good, for it beginneth to enlarge my soul; yea, it beginneth to enlighten my understanding, yea, it beginneth to be delicious to me.

I do so love the scriptures.

Thank you so much for the great spirit that came through on the recording. It is through your faith that I was able to bask in the spirit of the recording. I felt such a sense of humility as I listened to all of your talks and comments. I rejoiced in your conversion stories and wept at Spencer’s testimony. My heart is still singing! I am grateful to our loving Heavenly Father who gave Spencer the permission to share his experience. Thank you, all of you who helped to make this reunion possible. I feel blessed and a greater ability to “Go East”!

I know many of us have been anxious to hear what we missed, but I knew it would take longer than was hoped. That’s okay. I’m sure it will be worth the wait. I’m so needing something uplifting right now. It seems that the harder I try, the more difficult life is and I sometimes feel tired of the darkness of the world. I’m always grateful for your blog postings. I’ve also been rereading “The Triumph of Zion”. My heart so yearns for it, yet I sometimes despair because I’m such a weak vessel. But my hope is in my Savior.

Though I wait with anticipation, please do not be concerned about the delay. There is a reason for everything, even the smallest details are part and parcel of the Lord’s timing and this great thing will come forth when it is right. Amazing that it may be coming forth around General Conference to additionally enrich my life. Thank you for this John.

Seeing the title of your message on my email, i jumped up and down with joy repeating, i’m so excited, so excited, and then i had to force myself to close my email for i have a lot of things to do first. After a minute i could not contain myself i had to open up your email and bask in what you have recorded, only to find it’s not here yet…:) I’m kinda glad because i need to complete some home/self projects asap. I plan to be ready when the recordings are posted, because i do not want to be interrupted by anything.
